The "top" face for these instructions is white, so the "bottom" face is yellow. The "free zone" is the bottom face - I call it that because for steps 1 and 2, you can move that part without messing up anything you already did. In steps 3 and 4, you turn your cube upside down so the yellow center is on top.
Step 1: the 't'/cross/flower/whatever you call it.
Step 2: get the corners/complete 1 face.
Step 3: put the sides in the right places/complete 2 layers.
Step 5: finish the sides - finished with whole cube!
Follow the links for a more detailed explanation... This is the method Hanson taught me. (thanks!) If you want to see the way I used to do steps 2 and 3 (that I figured out myself, which is why they're so confusing), here are the links!
Step 2: get the corners in the right place, white NOT facing up.
Step 3: put side "under" the corner, match them up, put them in right place.
(Steps 1, 4, and 5 are the same.)
Psst! btw, I'm getting a 4x4 Rubik's cube... does anyone know how it works? Advice is much appreciated! Thnx.
